Sorry for my long absence.......on my knees begging for your mercy :)

But here's a little something I wrote. As usual, my musings over certain issues that just don't go down well with me as I journey in this wonderful life of mine.....

Everyone loves to laugh. Jokes are made everyday and people roll over themselves in pure, undiluted laughter. Sometimes harmless and many times super harmful. Have you ever been the butt of anyone's joke? How did you feel? Or have you made anyone the butt of your jokes? Did you feel good inside? Or did you feel remorseful when you realized your folly?

I just read an article on how couples should laugh together and not at each other. It might seem like fun when you're making everyone laugh at the expense of another person but the damage done could be eternal. Not everyone has that tough skin to brush harsh words or words of mockery off. Some are quite soft at heart and such things make them feel insecure, and gives their self esteem a huge blow.

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 4:1-10

Isn't it strange that the Israelites had the ark of God, which represents the presence of God but still they experienced defeat at the hands of the Philistines? What a sad situation.

The Israelites were so rebellious and when they saw that the Philistines were going to deal with them, they remembered God and brought Him into the situation, expecting Him to leave all He was doing to answer to their urgent call. Unfortunately, I have to say that God does not have to answer when you call. You can't expect to do your own thing, push Him aside, don't acknowledge Him, refuse to worship Him but when the enemy rears its ugly head, you scream for Him to come help and He does. He is merciful and will answer if He chooses too. In the case of the Israelites, He didn't answer them. This goes to show that God operates on His own terms and your attitude towards Him and situations matters a lot. You must never get too familiar with God. Never!

The Best 9 Minute Sermon on Marriage by Dr. Myles Munroe

Ok. So I stumbled on this video on Facebook and I just have to share. This will answer many questions a lot of single ladies have and also enlighten those that are married. As for the men, it will give them a proper understanding on what their roles are so they carry them out effectively.

It is only about 9 mins but it is the best 9 minute sermon on marriage I have ever heard.

Enjoy and be truly blessed.

The Grace of God: To Be Used, Not Abused!

Bible Reading: Romans 6:1, 2 Corinthians 12:9

When you get hired in a company, no matter where or what it is, you are given a rule book. You are told what is allowed and what isn't. You are told when to come in and when to leave. You are told how to dress appropriately for the position. You are briefed on what is considered acceptable behavior. Your behavior and conduct in that company is dictated to you and you are expected to conform, whether you like it or not, whether it is comfortable or convenient or not because you want that job. We do this religiously because we want to keep our jobs, so we can provide for our needs and others, be comfortable, get promoted and so much more. You discipline yourself so you always remain in the good books and you can say that the rewards are greatly beneficial in most cases. This is in the corporate world and in the gathering of men.

Please, Stop The Threats!

Ahhhhh! I'm sure I'm not the only lady that's sick and tired of all these 'crazy' relationship articles, written by both men and women on how to treat your husband or save your marriage. I'm all up for learning new things you know, expounding my knowledge because you learn everyday but when it becomes ridiculous, then I have a problem.

One thing I've noticed about these articles is that they always have this subtle threat of "if you don't do so and so, he will go outside to look for it." Aargh! That's what really gets me. Nothing I hate more than a threat and especially the threat of another woman.

Be In Tune With God!

Bible Reading: Matthew 7:21, Luke 10:20

It's important never to get carried away by your anointing, assignment and gifts, but always make sure that all you do is in line with the will of God for your life. There are times God wants you to just sit and listen, but because you are hyped up by how God has used you, you miss it. It is always good to operate in the will of God. Extremely beneficial. Learn to speak only when you know Holy Spirit is leading you, especially when it come to the things of God.
